Coats for Kids

One of the tenets of the Knights of Columbus is Charity. In light of that tenet, we endeavor to give to those less fortunate and in need. Given our current COVID-19 situation we find that need to be more dire. In support of the Knights of Columbus annual Coats for Kids program, the FJOB Council donated 20 brand new coats to Bull Run Middle School. Huge thank you to Deputy Grand Knight, Joseph Nicolello for heading up this effort!

St. Lucy Project Food Drive

FJOB participated in a second St. Lucy Project food drive on Saturday, May 29.  Twelve brother Knights participated and were scheduled to work in two separate 2 hour shifts. Over 4,900 lbs of food and donations totaling $660.00 was collected. A great result in this time when many people need food assistance.

Thanks to everyone on Teams A,B,C and D for your perseverance in braving the biting wind, cold wind and rain on this our first FJOB Knights Christmas Trees sale project. Your contribution and sense of humor carried us forward to a successful outcome. And last, but not least, thanks to all the families that purchased our trees.

St. Lucy Project

Great work today by our parish donating food supporting the St. Lucy Project.  To respond to our neighbors in need, the St. Lucy Project connects food resources with local pantries that distribute food directly to their neighbors.

Adopt A Highway

Huge thanks to Alan for organizing our Adopt-A-Highway project under the the Faith in Action: Community Program and over 20 Knights and Family Members that came out to make our world a little better today. We picked up litter along Highway 15 and the future site of St Katharine Drexel Catholic Church.

Yard Cleanup

On 27 July, a crew of 25 Knights gathered to support a brother knight, who suffered blindness from a workplace accident.  His yard was overgrown and cluttered with debris.  Through teamwork, muscle, and sweat, we transformed his yard.
